Champion Results with Competitions Finally underway this April 2021

Sport is well and truly back, and Team Champion are really turning up the heat!

SsangYong South of England Sizzles!

Pippa Funnell won the double last weekend at the SsangYong South of England with Sandman 7 winning the Advanced Intermediate and Billy Walk On just pipping Will Furlong for the win in the Open Intermediate. Congratulations to both riders!

Burnham Market Brilliance!

After a welcome three days of amazing Eventing action across the classes at the Barefoot Retreats Burnham Market International, the event drew to a close on Sunday 18th April with the CCI4*-S classes

Laura Collett had dominated Saturday’s proceedings, leading CCI4*-S Section B and Section C. However, after the showjumping Laura had already decided not to run them on cross country preferring to save her three leading horses for another day.

That left the door open in both sections for Champion Rider Kitty King and Piggy March who swapped wins and second places in both sections with Kitty claiming the CCI4*-S Section B onboard the beautiful grey, Cristal Fontaine, and Piggy in second place on her Badminton winner Vanir Kamira.

In the CCI4*-S Section C it was Piggy who took top honours on Dargun while Kitty was in second place riding her other beautiful grey, Vendredi Biats.

Congratulations to Kitty and Piggy!
